On April 27th, Matt “Lucky Joe” Luotto went to the border of California and Mexico. On the following morning, he began his trek along the Pacific Crest Trail. He is a “through-hiker” from Palo Alto, California, on a path that will lead him over 2,500 miles of terrain, through deserts, woods, and mountainous regions, right up to the Canadian border.
